Into the Silence
I’m searching for a fleeting silence in the big city. I walk for many kilometers, wandering through the center and the neighborhoods. How can I find it? A city is always noisy. It has voices, honking, stress. Phones ring and everyone rushes to catch up with something. Little by little, though, I start to notice the shop windows. Among the reflections and the posters I find something different — a breath. Time has stopped. The mannequins are frozen and expect nothing from me. They don’t ask, they don’t answer. They simply let me exist. In this silence I feel calm. A small pause, inside a city that never sleeps.
